Classic White Kitchen with Modern Accents

A “classic” style kitchen does not by any means mean old, dated or boring. Within a kitchen remodel, there are many opportunities to add your own personal touch, while still maintaining a classic and traditional look. For example, if you want to maintain a neutral palate that would appeal to a variety of tastes if you might consider selling your home in the future.

Our recent clients of Jefferson, Oregon did a fabulous job of selecting timeless colors and materials while also adding their own personal style to the space. Dale’s Remodeling and our team of designers worked closely with the client to create the perfect space for this homeowner who loves to cook! See how we implemented some of their personal “must-have’s” into the new space.

What was originally dated with oak cabinets and a funky kitchen island layout, transformed into a classy kitchen with much more functionality and personal style was added with modern accents.

Two-tone cabinets, with black matte cabinetry attached to center island with additional storage.

Dark hardwood flooring contrasts well with the white cabinetry and glass pendant lighting above dining room and kitchen island.

Granite countertops with high-end white glass subway tile backsplash completes the classic look with funky fixtures and decor for a pop of color and style.

Stainless steel appliances complete the look, and can often be an affordable way to enhance kitchen improvements. To the right of the fridge we removed a wall separating the formal dining and living room from the kitchen, opening up the space to natural light and creating more cabinetry storage space.

The formal dining room is now open to the kitchen and receives a lot of natural light.

Additional storage space was created at the entry from the garage, between the kitchen and formal dining room. A classic solution to added storage space with a clean and elegant look. Closed cabinet storage throughout with decor space available in the middle and cookbook storage on top – a must have for this client!

Newly remodeled kitchens are not only intended to be pretty on the outside, but also functional and more efficient. The space is designed strategically to utilize the most space possible, as efficiently as possible. Custom spice racks, storage drawers and the newest trend: drawer-style microwaves. The trendiest products and technologies are being seen more and more often, this is just one example of the new fixtures and features being implemented into our projects.
